2020 is all about new smartphones coming with impressive specs even at such aggressive pricing.Every year, the top smartphone manufacturers release dozens of smartphones between them. Usually, they fall into different price points. As a consumer, trying to understand the difference between these flagship & midrange phones can be difficult.

1. Is your old phone is unusable?
2. why you are buying a new phone?

Many person buy new flagship as soon as their launch without its actual need in their life and end up wasting a lots of bucks.
- Display Technology:-
ideal display- Amoled FHD+ 90 hz which are available in most mid-ranger smartphones.
But if you are a professional gamer or do a lot of video editing stuffs, you can look for the flagships like Oneplus 7 pro or ROG phone 2 .
Flagships smartphones come with OS like Oxygen OS,ios etc.provide much streamlined user experience.
They also lack any kind of bloatwares giving a cleaner look to the phone.Irritating ads which are seen in mid range smartphones, are also missing in flagships. The reason behind smartphone companies providing the ads in midrange smartphones is to earn little bit of revenue as they are providing huge value for money product at such aggressive price segment.
90% of the time the mid-range smartphone camera is enough to satisfy the needs of an ordinary daily life.At present phones like Poco X2,Realme X2 ,Realme 6 pro etc.are providing much better camera performance comparable with the flagships.Premium features like the stabilization,night-mode,bokeh video recording etc.are now became a common thing in every midranger smartphones.
In 2020,most of the midrange smartphones are coming with quad camera setup consisting of wide-angle lens, telephoto lens as well as a dedicated macro sensor. They also come with either 48MP or 64MP main camera sensor. But for a professional photographer or videographer, flagships are the ones that you must go with. The photos of iPhone 11 pro or a Pixel will definately stand apart from the midranger's.The reason of which is the powerful algorithm and the brilliant post processing going on behind the lenses.
Where the flagships might gets 0 to 100% in around 30 minutes ,the midrange smartphone can get fully charged at less than 60 minutes.
But is it really worth to spend such extra money on this?
But even after buying a top of the line flagship smartphone,it eventually starts to feel not that much premium with the passage of time and also the prices also take a drastic fall after 3-4 months only.Flagships also donot have good record in terms of re-sale of the product. The depreciation in smartphones is more noticed in the flagship categories. For instance a 50k phone may have low re-sale price of 20k only after 6 months.
To conclude:
If you are are looking to carry smartphone as brand value to stand apart from the crowd or to try fancy tech such as wireless charging or IP rating,go for a flagship blind-foldedly.
But if you are a true tech enthusiast trying to explore the recent technology with aggressive pricing, the mid-range smartphones are for you.
